Jeremy Rifkin was on Charlie Rose last week, gave an interesting perspective on converging economic trends and expressed his view that the Obama Administration did a poor job of allocating capitol towards Green Energy. Although he did not use the Thomas Friedman buzzed term “Smart Grid”, he mentioned he believes the world is on the cusp of a “Third Industrial Revolution”, that will be triggered by a spike in Oil prices,  with Germany holding the flag on the charge forward.
